This weekend, the holidays begin in part of Germany. High traffic density is expected from Friday to Monday (July 26-29). Traffic jams are expected on the western Ljubljana bypass from Koseze to Brezovica, on the southern bypass and the Primorska motorway.
Slowed traffic is also expected on the Šmarje-Dragonja and Izola-Sečovlje roads, on the Podravska motorway before the Gruškovje crossing towards Croatia and in front of the Karavanke tunnel in the Gorenjska region, and past Jesenice (working roadblock).
We recommend: monitoring traffic information, including with the help of our mobile application Promet+, planning routes when there is less traffic.
From the direction of Austria towards Croatia, there is less crowd on Fridays until 11 a.m. and after 9 p.m., on Saturdays before 7 a.m. and after 8 p.m., and on Sunday afternoons.
Mondays after 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Hit the road with a technically flawless vehicle and equipment. Have a refreshing drink with you and make sure you make proper stops along the way. In case of breakdowns, take care of safety.
