Holidays - longer travel time between April 2 - 7 in Slovenia

Between Thursday and Tuesday (April 2nd - 7th), increased traffic is expected on all sections throughout Slovenia, and rest areas will be fuller because holidays are starting. On highways and expressways, during this period, a higher number of vehicles with foreign registration plates are expected, nad increased traffic density on transit routes. During the this weekend, increased traffic is also expected around churches due to the holiday in Slovenia.

On Monday, April 6th, there will be an increased number of motorcyclists throughout Slovenia due to the nationwide blessing of motorcycles in Mirna Peč (near Novo mesto), especially between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM. Increased visits to tourist and excursion spots are also expected if the weather forecast is nice.

Main directions of increased traffic: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from Austria to Croatia and from Italy to Hungary; Sunday and Monday from Croatia to Austria and from Hungary to Italy.

Bottlenecks where traffic jams are expected due to a significant increase in traffic:
