From the beginning of September to mid-December 2024 - more than 60 years after the construction of this exceptional infrastructure - the Mont Blanc Tunnel will be going on with the complete reconstruction of two portions of the tunnel vault of 300 metres each, making it one of the first major European tunnels to undertake deep renovation works on its structure. This project will require: one total closure of the tunnel for a duration of 15 consecutive weeks from 5 p.m. on Monday 2, September 2024 to 5 p.m. on Monday 16, December 2024 During this period, please use the recommended alternative routes.
